The first SETSIG SOOC –
“Supporting UDL with Apps”
Registration is now CLOSED
Perhaps you’ve heard of
? Well, SETSIG has developed its first SOOC - Short (& Supported) Open Online Course. Open to all, this asynchronous professional learning opportunity will include weekly real-time opportunities to converse with lead instructors Kendra Grant and Luis Perez.
There is no charge for this course (that's right, it's FREE). It is a professional learning service to our professional community.
To dig deep into Universal Design for Learning and discover how various popular online and mobile applications can support your instructional practice.
Design and Delivery:
The course runs for 4 weeks beginning February 1st. Each week, after viewing video resources, participants self-select from a variety of hands-on, practical tasks that, when completed, are shared with the instructors and other course participants.
Week One - Overview of UDL
Week Two - Engagement
Week Three - Representation
Week Four - Action and Expression
Badges and Certificates:
Participants will receive a badge for each week completed and a certificate of completion from SETSIG of ISTE upon completion of all four tasks.

Engagement and Success for All - UDL and the iPad
Filter through your list of apps to create a core that truly provide all your students with a successful experience in learning, communication and engagement using the iPad. This session will demonstrate how I apply that filter to a sampling of apps that can be utilized across all subjects throughout the school experience.
